IRS Form 1099-R is used to report distributions from your retirement accounts, including but not limited to 401ks and IRAs.
Digital Trust, as custodian of your IRA, provides a copy to you through the secure Document Center and files the form with the IRS no later than January 31 of each year. The copy provided to you is for your records and to share with your CPA or tax advisor as they complete your tax filings.
Please note that if you did not take any distributions during the calendar year, you will not receive a 1099-R.
