What is a Roth conversion?
Updated over a week ago

Converting assets in a Traditional IRA to a Roth IRA means you are changing the tax status of your assets from pre-tax to post-tax. If you have assets in a pre-tax status and you would like to convert them to a post-tax status, you must first open a Roth IRA. Once that is complete, simply complete a Roth conversion form. You can request this form from our customer service team by contacting us at 877-936-7175 or via [email protected]. Our agents are available 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, Monday through Friday. There may be additional taxes associated with converting your pre-tax assets. Please review your tax situation with a tax advisor before converting your assets.
