BitcoinIRA Crypto Bundles are collections of digital assets that are grouped around specific areas of the crypto market. Each bundle starts with allocation parameters and automatic rebalancing intended to maintain those parameters over time, allowing exposure to multiple digital assets without managing individual assets.
What Bundles does BitcoinIRA offer?
BitcoinIRA offers five diverse Bundles to choose from. These bundles are organized around specific categories, themes, or sectors of the crypto market.
Name | Description |
|
Crypto Blue Chip | A grouping of established L1 networks providing exposure to widely held and commonly recognized digital assets | Bitcoin - BTC |
Tokenized Economy | A grouping reflecting activity related to tokenized assets smart-contract automation, and on-chain governance. These assets power real-world asset tokenization, data verification, and DeFi infrastructure. | Ethereum - ETH |
Al On Chain | A grouping of AI-focused crypto projects associated with decentralized compute, machine learning automation, data access, and on-chain prediction models. | Render Network - RENDER |
Privacy & Security | Exposure to digital assets associated with zero-knowledge privacy technology and on-chain confidentiality. | ZCash - ZEC |
DeFi | Digital assets associated with decentralized finance infrastructure, including lending, borrowing, automated liquidity, stablecoin systems, governance, and decentralized exchanges. | Aave - AAVE |
How often can I rebalance?
When you create a bundle, you select how often rebalancing occurs. Available options include:
Weekly rebalancing occurs on the same day of the week as your bundle’s creation date and at the same time of day.
Monthly rebalancing occurs on the same calendar day each month. If your bundle was created on the 29th, 30th, or 31st, future rebalances will run on the 28th to account for shorter months.
Quarterly rebalancing occurs every three months on the same calendar day, with the same 28th-day fallback if applicable.
Manual rebalancing occurs only when you select the “Rebalance Now” option. This performs the same process as a scheduled rebalance but runs immediately. Manual rebalances do not affect your future scheduled rebalance dates.
Note, you can manually rebalance the bundle at any time, regardless of the selected Rebalancing Frequency.
How Bundle Rebalancing Works
Bundle rebalancing is the process of adjusting a Crypto Bundle to align with its predefined allocation parameters after market movements cause asset allocations to change. Whether a rebalance runs on a schedule or is triggered manually, the same structured process is followed to ensure consistency.
When a rebalance occurs, the system evaluates your bundle using the following steps:
Identify and sell overallocated assets
First, each asset in the bundle is reviewed and compared based on its current allocation relative to its predefined allocation parameter. Any asset whose current allocation exceeds its predefined allocation parameter is considered overallocated. The overallocated amount from each asset may be sold to reduce its relative weight in the bundle.
Purchase underallocated assets
Next, after overallocated assets have been sold, the proceeds may be used to purchase assets that are underallocated—those whose current allocation is below their predefined allocation parameter. This adjusts allocations across the bundle.
Execute trades from largest to smallest deviation
Finally, assets are sold and purchased in order of the size of their deviation from the target allocation, starting with the largest. This approach prioritizes addressing the largest allocation differences first, If there are constraints such as liquidity limits, minimum order sizes, or market conditions, this sequencing addresses larger deviations before smaller ones.
Important Notes About Rebalancing
Small deviations are normal.
It may not always be possible to reach predefined allocation parameters exactly due to minimum trade sizes, price fluctuations during execution, or liquidity constraints. Minor deviations after a rebalance are expected and considered normal.Rebalances take time to complete.
A rebalance may take several minutes to finish. While it is in progress, you cannot initiate another rebalance, adjust Allocation parameters, or edit your bundle configuration. All rebalances follow the same process.
Scheduled rebalances and manual rebalances initiated by clicking the Rebalance Now button execute in the same way. The rebalance logic is identical regardless of how it is initiated. You may rebalance your bundle at any time by clicking the Rebalance Now button. This initiates the rebalance immediately.
By consistently applying this process, Crypto Bundles adjust allocations toward predefined allocation parameters in response to market changes on a recurring basis.
What Happens if a Trade Fails?
Occasionally, a trade may fail due to liquidity issues, market conditions, or system constraints. If one asset fails to sell or buy, the rebalance will continue to execute the remaining sells and buys. It is left to your discretion whether to leave the bundle unchanged or initiate a manual rebalance.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many bundles can I create?
You may create up to ten (10) bundles per account, in addition to your Individual Holdings.
How many cryptocurrencies can I have in one bundle?
You may hold up to twenty (20) cryptocurrencies in one bundle.
Will a failed trade stop my rebalance?
No. Failed trades are isolated and do not cancel the rest of the rebalance.
Can I rebalance assets in Individual Holdings?
No. Only assets held within a bundle are eligible for automated or manual rebalancing.
What happens if I add funds between rebalances?
Funds remain as cash until your next scheduled rebalance, or until a manual rebalance is initiated.
Why am I unable to create a Bundle?
There are a few reasons you may see an error when attempting to create a bundle:
Duplicate bundle name
Bundle names must be unique. If you’ve used the same name before, try choosing a different one.
Maximum bundle limit reached
You can have up to ten (10) active bundles at a time. If you’ve reached this limit, you’ll need to close or delete an existing bundle before creating a new one.
Account restrictions or verification issues
System or connectivity issues
Temporary technical issues or interruptions may also cause errors. If the problem persists, try again later or contact support.
